Game-Ready Character - Daisy

At its core, the module this character was produced for was  focused on the collaboration of the team’s differing skillsets. The team consists of 3 environment artists and 2 character artists. This team composition led to the decision to create an environment that a selection of characters can exist within.

My task was to find a concept that could fit within the chosen environment and produce a game-ready character within the same style. 

The theme was to create a fantasy character with a realistic tinge. So nothing too crazy on the design side. The concepts looked through started as a mix of male and female characters but based on what has been created in the character artist’s portfolios in the past, this research was narrowed down to female. The final concept, “Daisy”, had the perfect mix of fantasy and realistic elements, with interesting armour styles and eye-catching colour themes. However, the face and overall body type was slightly too stylised, so in the final model they were to be toned down.
